After obtaining a Masters in Forensic Toxicology and realising a career sitting behind a microscope in a lab was not for her, Georgie made a pretty big jump into the world of events.
Her career in the events industry started with the RNLI charity event team back in 2016, but after joining Blackberry Events to support the shift to virtual events at the start of the pandemic she is a vital member of the Blackberry team.
Georgie works across all of our events, specialising in their design and development, and recently won Young Professional of the Year 2023 for Retail, Hospitality and Events at the Greater BYPY Awards.
While being an integral member of the event delivery team, her passion extends to the growth of the business and building a company with people, passion and purpose at it’s heart.
Below is a snapshot of Georgie ‘in her own words’
With a love for all things creative and a passion for planning, events just made sense to me.Nicknamed clipboard amongst family and friends, a career in events has enabled me to take my love of organised fun to the next level.
For me, there is nothing better than that moment onsite, where the event you’ve been working on for months comes to life – that’s the magic of events. I also have a soft spot for the charity award ceremonies - you’ll often find me holding back tears as the event plays out.
My biggest passion is travelling and seeing more of the world – I love jetting off to discover somewhere new and if there is sun, sand and sea involved then I am at my happiest. My dog Freddie plays a big part in my life and helps me to keep a healthy work-life balance.
