We are very proud of our long and enduring connection to the education and learning sector.
Blackberry’s founding directors have managed conferences and events featuring Secretaries of State from 1998 to the present day.
In 1998 the Government department was then known as the Department for Education, then Education and Employment (DfEE), Education and Skills (DfES), Children, Schools and Families, Innovation and Universities and Skills (DfCSF), and back to the Department for Education (DfE) again.
At our January 2024 kick off business planning session we realised that within our conference and event programme we span the life cycle of education events.
Supporting the Department for Education's ‘Get into Teaching’ campaign we deliver a country wide series of events designed to encourage people of all ages to consider and pursue a career in teaching.
In June each year we work with the Inspiring Leadership Events team to curate and deliver the annual Inspiring Leadership conference created for senior leaders of education in schools and education bodies predominantly in the UK but also from around the world.
And in November we celebrate the outstanding achievements of the teaching profession at the Pearson National Teaching Awards – the Oscars of the teaching profession.
Recruiting new teachers for the future, inspiring today’s school leaders and their teams and celebrating the achievements of those working in schools and colleges across the UK is a real privilege to be connected to the vital work of education our children.
